The HTC One’s German Unboxing for English speakers

Hi everyone,

You may have seen the unboxing video of the new HTC One.

Otherwise it is right here:

Your German is not good enough?

No worries, here is a little summary.

First the person shows the new box and specifies that his has an additional Beats Logo reminding that the carrier O2 offers and additional UrBeats headset for free, provided customers get in touch with a marketing agency, which will deliver it for free.

According to the author of the video, O2 is the first carrier to deliver the HTC One (O2’s web page has a countdown for deliveries that states they are five days away).

The author shows the box and the specs you probably already know.

The phone he has in his hands is the 32Gb version. The auhtor praises the HTC One’s processor.

He is very pleased that the manufacturer no longer uses eggs boxes (No, not X-boxes) for its packaging! 🙂

He shows the phone and specifies it has a full aluminium body. The phone is heavier but the author doesn’t think it is too heavy.

He shows what is in the box. Usual content except for the headset. He appreciates the new design after reminding the HTC One uses micro sim and not nano sim.

He then talks abou the processor and reminds that the HTC One runs Sense 5 and Android 4.1.2, but he reckons it will be updated to 4.2.2 soon.

He then talks abour the 2Gb of Ram.

The video’s author confirms that the HTC One is not slimmer than an iPhone 5 but as the edges are thin it makes a good impression.

He the notes the two polycarbonate lines, which allow waves to get through the full aluminium body.

The  HTC One integrates Beats audio.

Gorilla Glass 2

LTE

2300mA battery, he cant wait to test it’s autonomy.

He claims the display offers as many pixels as your full HD TV and that it beats the Xperia Z in pixel density.

He finds 4.7 inches are better than 5.

He evoques de ultrapixel and expresses his concerns regarding the 4Mpixel. He wonders whether it is not a step back and wishes to compare it to the Xperia Z’s 13Mpixels and to the Lumia 920’s low light skills.

He reminds viewers that the power button is also an infrared beamer.

He is dazzled with the Volume button, its nice finishing and feel on pressing.

He then talks about the micro usb port and microphone (he forgets to point out that the back microphone offers the noise cancelling feature).

He thinks the front facing camera is 2Mpixel.

He then shows the speakers’ grid, punched with laser.

He finds brilliant that HTC took it upon themselves to go full Aluminium for the body, thus proving competitors (i.e. Samsung) that such an accomplishment is possible without blocking waves.

Generally he finds the materials are top of the line.

He is then literally frightened by the loudness of the start sound, which he finds impressive.

Then he makes a brief software description but tells us that he can not make a demo as he must set up the phone first.
